Cream Cheese "Frosting" and Strawberries

Also Known As ~ Liz's dessert
(this is part of a recipe I found on the Food Network, called the Patriotic Berry Trifle)

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup of white granulated sugar
  • 1 pint of heavy whipping cream
  • strawberries, hulled and sliced
Directions:
  1. Let cream cheese soften for about 30 minutes in room temperatures.
  2. In a stand mixer, add the cream cheese and sugar and set the mixer to Stir for about 2 minutes (slow setting).
  3. When the mixture gets smooth, (put the cover on the mixer, at this time, if you have one) add the heavy whipping cream a little at a time until you've used the entire pint.
  4. Continue to mix for about another minute or 2. The cream cheese, sugar, whipping cream mixture will be nice and fluffy and look like clouds now.
  5. Transfer the fluffy, cloud-like mixture into a container with lid and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  6. Shortly before the hour is up, prep the strawberries (hull and slice, if not done so).
  7. Lastly, I like to take a small fork full of the mixture and then pick up a slice of strawberry and there you have it! Heaven!!!
I encourage you to join my blog and comment on anything you feel you can or should.

Enjoy! From my kitchen to yours (as Paula Dean would say)!
