Also Known As ~ Liz's dessert
(this is part of a recipe I found on the Food Network, called the Patriotic Berry Trifle)
Ingredients:
- 1 lb cream cheese
- 2/3 cup of white granulated sugar
- 1 pint of heavy whipping cream
- strawberries, hulled and sliced
Directions:
- Let cream cheese soften for about 30 minutes in room temperatures.
- In a stand mixer, add the cream cheese and sugar and set the mixer to Stir for about 2 minutes (slow setting).
- When the mixture gets smooth, (put the cover on the mixer, at this time, if you have one) add the heavy whipping cream a little at a time until you've used the entire pint.
- Continue to mix for about another minute or 2. The cream cheese, sugar, whipping cream mixture will be nice and fluffy and look like clouds now.
- Transfer the fluffy, cloud-like mixture into a container with lid and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.
- Shortly before the hour is up, prep the strawberries (hull and slice, if not done so).
- Lastly, I like to take a small fork full of the mixture and then pick up a slice of strawberry and there you have it! Heaven!!!
I encourage you to join my blog and comment on anything you feel you can or should.
Enjoy! From my kitchen to yours (as Paula Dean would say)!
